The teachers and staff who collaborated with the Hijas de Jesus (F.I.) Sisters in the Shared Mission for two years left Cebu City on May 25, 2025 (Sunday) for a meaningful trip to Panay and Guimaras. During their trip, they visited several sister schools of Sacred Heart School- Hijas de Jesus, including St. James Catholic High School in Maasin, Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion in Pototan, St. Joseph School in Jordan, and Colegio De Las Hijas De Jesus in Iloilo City. At each stop, they were welcomed with familiar familial warmth, generosity, and kindness by the beloved Hijas Sisters. The group returned home on May 27, 2025 with hearts full of gratitude and memories from a truly enriching and unforgettable experience.
Remarkably, the group experienced the beauty of the region. In Guimaras, they witnessed the Manggahan Festival’s famous “eat all you can mangoes” contest, island-hopped at Natago and Ave Maria beaches, found serenity at the Trappist Monastery, took in the view at San Lorenzo Windmills, and walked the Stations of the Cross at Holy Family Hills.
In Iloilo, they admired the Molo Church and Mansion, enjoyed Garin Farm’s mix of fun and faith at the Stairway to Heaven, and stood in awe of the Miagao Church’s stone walls.
More than just a trip, it was a time of connection and renewed purpose. The efforts of the Sacred Heart School–Hijas de Jesus Sisters and Administration made it even more special, whose love, support, and generosity made this beautiful experience possible.
The teachers and staff are truly grateful for the opportunity to witness such beauty, to feel so welcomed, and to be reminded of the joy of serving and growing together in mission.
Madamo gid nga salamat, dear Hijas Sisters! 💚
