Five passionate educators from Sacred Heart School – Hijas de Jesus—Mrs. Rosalie A. Idulsa, Ms. Mary Jale Alcover, Mrs. Honelynn Alvarado, Ms. Paula Mae Pedrano, and Ms. Shyra Lucero—proudly represented the school in the TechFactors Training held at Ateneo de Iloilo on June 4–5, 2025.
The two-day event, sponsored by TechFactors, Inc., focused on strengthening digital literacy and equipping teachers with the knowledge and skills to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into classroom instruction. Participants stayed at SmallVille 21 Hotel in Iloilo for 4 days, with accommodation graciously provided by the same service provider.
Day 1 was centered on the MATATAG Curriculum, Digital Literacy, and the Effective Use of AI in Education. Participants explored how technology and AI tools can transform teaching strategies, improve student engagement, and support meaningful learning outcomes.
Day 2 featured differentiated hands-on workshops that provided participants with practical experiences in key technology areas: Arduino Robotics, C++ Programming, Office Productivity, Desktop Publishing, Video Production, and Scratch Programming.
The training concluded with the recognition of exceptional outputs. Two of our representatives were honored for their excellent performance: Best Output in Scratch Programming – Ms. Shyra Lucero, and Best Output in Desktop Publishing – Mrs. Rosalie A. Idulsa.
The event was a truly enriching and inspiring experience that empowered educators to embrace technological innovation with creativity and collaboration for a future-ready and transformative education committed to developing globally-competent learners. The Hijas-Hearter educators are geared up with practical skills for effective Education-Technology integration, fostering digital literacy, and enhancing classroom engagement. It was truly a meaningful and enriching experience in support of innovative and future-ready education!
